Dr Strauss is one of Australia’s leading Forensic Psychiatrists with many years of experience in medico-legal report writing and as an expert witness. He has a longstanding reputation as a pioneer in psychiatric medico-legal work in Australia.

Dr Strauss is a co-author of the Guide to the Evaluation of Psychiatric Impairment for Clinicians (GEPIC) used extensively throughout Australia.

Dr Strauss trained in neuropsychiatry at St.Vincent’s Hospital where he remains a consultant. He is an expert in the assessment of neuropsychiatric conditions, continues to train junior psychiatrists in this area, and has consulted widely on the management and diagnosis of head injuries.

He has given expert evidence in multiple class actions in Australia and overseas.
